JCP is a partnership of the Houston Bar Association, the Harris County Probation Department, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Houston Police Department. The program provides education about the juvenile justice system to youth in the second-chance program. The JCP program is held monthly at the Jury Assembly Room building by invite only. Each partner organization speaks for 15 minutes on their role in the juvenile justice system. The goal of the program is to give youth a second chance by keeping them out of the system, through an increased understanding of the juvenile justice system and its consequences.
