HBA Mentor Mentee Program
The HBA Mentor Mentee Program pairs attorneys licensed four years or less with more experienced attorneys who will provide advice on career development. The program is a member benefit and requires HBA membership. Upon becoming licensed as an attorney, the Mentor Mentee program can help with career advice and general professional development.
Mentors are needed in all practice areas and commit to mentoring one attorney this year who is newly licensed, has been licensed less than 5 years, or is new to a practice area. Mentorship is not a large commitment, but is vital to those in need of a mentor to help connect them with others in the legal community and learn more about their practice area. Want to learn more about being a mentor? Watch the professionalism committee’s CLE program, "Remote Mentorship in the Legal Profession." Day of Civility

The Houston Day of Civility in the Law luncheon brought together some of the most recognized names in law for a program that truly delivered. Centered around Victory with Honor: A Trial Lawyer’s Guide to Civility, the panel featured Peter Taaffe, Rusty Hardin, Dan Cogdell, and Erica Harris.
It was a chance to hear directly from leading trial attorneys as they shared real stories and perspective on what civility looks like in practice. The conversation was recorded live for The Dirty Verdict, so if you missed it, you can still catch the full discussion when the episode drops.
