The Houston Bar Foundation was established in 1982 as the charitable arm of the Houston Bar Association. Since that time, the Foundation has supported programs that help provide legal representation to the indigent, promote community understanding of our legal system and foster the administration of justice. Through the generosity of its contributors, and significantly its Fellows, Life Fellows and Sustaining Life Fellows, the Foundation has been able to make a difference in the greater Houston community. |
Fellows of the Houston Bar Foundation are a special group of lawyers in Houston who support access to justice and high-impact programing in our Houston community.
The Foundation's primary beneficiary is the Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL). Approximately 92% of those who qualify for legal aid never receive legal aid. Those who are denied access to justice include children, victims of domestic violence, veterans of our armed services and many more which is who the HVL serves.
Your donation also supports high-impact partners of the Houston Bar Association and its member-volunteers who make a difference in Houston, such as Pursuit Center, the Houston Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity.
Please join as a Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation. The commitment is $250/year for 10 years or just $22 a month. For the price of lunch once a month, you can support access to justice in our Houston community.
