The purpose of the Corporate Counsel Section is to promote the objectives and standards of professionalism of the Houston Bar Association within the field of corporate law. The Section comprises both in-house counsel and law firm practitioners. The Section usually sponsors nine monthly lunch programs each year, which are typically held on the third Tuesday of the month, September through May.

Scholarships
$2,000 to one student from each local law school. Scholarship awarded each year at the Section’s May luncheon. Scholar selection will be made by the law school, based on academic merit, financial need, and the successful completion of at least one elective course on a business law topic.
