HBA Fall Day of Service - Thank You!
THANK YOU to all of the HBA members, committee members, partnership organizations, and volunteers for your outstanding service to make the HBA Days of Service a remarkable success! Thanks to the incredible support of nearly 300 volunteers and our partner organizations, the HBA served 14,000+ community members in 2 days!
The HBA Campaign to End Homelessness and Hunger Committee partnered with two local organizations that serve Houstonians. Volunteers joined The Beacon to restore IDs and clear records for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The committee also partnered with the Houston Food Bank, sorted 16,000 lbs. of fresh oranges into 3,200+ bags, providing more than 13,000 meals to those experiencing food insecurity in Houston.


CEHH Hosts Restoration ID Clinic
The HBA Campaign to End Homelessness and Hunger Committee and Houston Volunteer Lawyers came together to host a walk-in Restoration Clinic this spring.
This partnership between the committee, HVL, volunteers from Troutman Pepper Locke LLP, and The Beacon was formed to help homeless individuals obtain the identification they need to access crucial resources.
Thank you to 2024-2025 CEHH Co-Chairs Deanna Willson and Darren Skyles for their leadership on this initiative. We also sincerely thank Houston Volunteer Lawyers and HVL Executive Director Jessica Howton Stool for their partnership, and a thank you to the volunteer attorneys from Troutman Pepper Locke LLP.
